Hotels.Com

Okay, so maybe the idea of the impulsive Hotels Tonight app (previous review) is a little bit too much for you. Maybe you’d rather have a done deal.

Here’s Hotels.com as another option.

The app makes booking easier without having to use a web browser, and here’s a few benefits I’ve found enticing travelers to sign up.

Hotels.com is advertising 10 nights of booking, and they’ll throw in one night for free. Not bad for the long-term traveler.

There are different terms and conditions for the freebie, so make sure you check ahead of booking.

The Hotels.com app can also put you on a list to monitor “secret deals.” You’ll have to give them your e-mail address for updates. They say the program can give you up to 50% off on regular advertised prices.

Tacked on as another money-saver for anyone who prefers planning,  you can sign up to receive alerts and monitor rooms to find out when a hotel’s price goes up or down. That added “alert” feature will help anyone who wants to sort out plans in advance and jump on the best deals once the price drops.

Other perks of the Hotels.com app: They have a price guarentee.

Which means if you spot a lower rate (perhaps Hotels Tonight will qualify, but I haven’t tried that yet) they should be able to match that price, so you’re not losing out on any deals.

This is a good feature to try because you’ll worry less about any competitor site giving a better deal. Find out? Contact Hotels.com and have them match the price.
