Things to Do in Bermuda

Recommended spots include a link to the Trip Advisor reviews or website from my travel itinerary.

I’ll be adding more and more things to do, as more days in Bermuda are posted onto my Blog.

Check back here for more updates.

Trip preparations:

The round-trip tickets from New York (JFK)  to Bermuda’ L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) was about $345 USD, total.
I booked my tickets about a month before my flight.
No checked luggage, free carry on — see my packing list

Transportation:
Locals are not allowed to rent cars.

Bus: $3.50 to $5.00, mostly runs on a 30-minute cycle — very accessible, and easy to navigate with only a few routes
Taxis: $10 – $35, depending on where you’re headed
Scooters: It’s about $85 per 24 hours, average
Mini-car: It’s about $100 – $115 / day

Easy to rent these by walking into a shop. Hamilton (the captial) has the most spots to rent, and they’re all in the same range

I obviously chose the scooter and booked from 12 p.m. to 12 p.m. — the 24-hour limit — to make the most of two days.

Bermuda’s gas-powered scooter was a bit hit; It’ll run you about $85 for 24 hours
Nervous to try the scooter? There’s options to rent a small mini-car; that’ll go for a little more that $100
A trip to the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse can’t be beat. See the beautiful views for $2.50
See the Royal Naval Dockyard which is on the furthest end of the island — away from St. George
Finally, one dinner option is authetic Italian food (as far as I could tell) at Portofino, which is a quick trip downtown Hamilton.

Day 5 – October 5

Travel around the island by ferry; the tickets will cost you about the same price as a bus ride! $5- $6 for round trip, from and to any navy dock you choose.
Close your experience out with any beach around the island. I picked hidden caves and a hidden beach at Admirals Cave.
